Ronis is the third generation of the Gracie family. Son of Karla Gracie, grandson of Grand Master Carlos Gracie, Ronis has been carrying the legacy of the family during his years of teaching the Gracie BJJ self defense techniques and philosophy to his students since his arrival in America, 4 years ago. Since then he has been passing the knowledge of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu he had acquire from his family.
"I started jiu-jitsu when I first learned how to walk"
With over 6 years of experience on teaching brazilian jiu-jitsu, Ronis emphasizes on the details of each technique that is taught on his classes, he believe is the right technique used at the right time and place that will make the weaker overcome the stronger opponent without having to use unnecessary strength.
"When I was growing up I was one of the smallest kids, I had to develop my technique in Jiu-Jitsu to be able to stop bullying to happen with me at school, and not grow up as a frightened child"
Ronis still young but it has put a huge amount of tournament achievements already. Some of his main tournament achievements includes: 2x Brazilian National Champion, Rio de Janeiro Estate Champion, American National Champion, 2nd Place 2010 World Championship, 3rd Place 2010 No-Gi World Championship among others.
"My first tournament was in 1996, I was only 9 years old, I have been competing ever since and I know I've competed a lot, but I still have a lot to do, I want to prove myself out there agains the best fighters in the world"

Law Enforcement is been given much atention from Ronis, many of his students are part of the Police Department, Fire Department, US Marine Corps, Navy and Army. Ronis knows that Law Enforcement Offices encounter many situations that the average individual will never have to.
Since Ronis moved to America, he has been dedicating all of his time to providing the best martial art self defense service possible to the community, through his knowledge of Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
"Teaching is my life, I am also a competitor, a professional athlete, but I will never stop teaching, and everyday I work hard to be try pass on everything I learn from my family, and that I am still learning"

Ronis travels all over the country to get personalized training with his cousins and uncles that live in other states. Refining the techniques of Gracie BJJ is fundamental, in a world that martial arts is the fastest growing sport, getting updated with the improvement of the art is a priority. Looking for different fighting aspects, wrestling, boxing, muay thai are some of other martial arts that Ronis has been very involved in the past few years.
Ronis's mother Karla, it was the first women in the family to take jiu-jitsu classes. She even got private lessons from Grand Master Helio Gracie, her uncle. She was also very involved with the Gracie Diet developted from her father. She worked for many years together with her father on the use of natural herbs and the consulting of Gracie Diet to her father's patients.
"Because of my mother's connection with the Gracie Diet, being healthy it was priority in my life."
It's no secret that Jiu-Jitsu doesn't only makes you know how to defend yourself, it absolutely changes your health lifestyle as well.
